Eden Park is New Zealand's national stadium and a globally renown sporting venue. Located in the heart of Auckland, it is hallowed by not only Kiwis, but also all those who love cricket and rugby worldwide.
It began life as a Cricket ground in 1903 and then opened for Rugby in 1913. Steeped in history and loved by locals and visitors alike, this is a must see and should be high on your bucket list!

My experience
It was an outstanding experience. I was well received and the Eden Tour started on time as indicated to us. We were shown around the visitor boxes, the press scribes area, the dressing rooms, the meeting area . Each area had an interesting history that our guide John narrated lucidly. We were told funny anecdotes about the events and matches at the stadium and about the history of Eden Park. I enjoyed it thoroughly and the Eden Park Tour is highly recommended.
