Parking:
Auckland Zoo has two large car parks providing free off-street parking for cars, charter buses and tour coaches.
Accessible car parking is available in the car park closest to the main entrance to the Zoo, for vehicles displaying a current mobility parking permit.
Opening Hours:
Open every day except Christmas Day 9.30am - 5.30pm (Last entry at 4.30pm).

Good experience for kids

My kid enjoyed going to the zoo. However, she was quite disappointed that the elephants were not there anymore. But all in all, good experience for the kids to learn about different animals.

Disappointed

We went around 3pm and there were hardly any animals out, we only saw the giraffes birds and orange monkeys. For the price we pay and considering they close at 5pm you would expect to see all the animals out and not locked away. We went for our daughters birthday so it was a waste of $160 in our opinion.
